
It is pretty cold today, at least for South Texas. I got out a long sleeved t-shirt, and it happened to be the one I received when I ran in a 5k fund raiser last December. A few months ago I was urged to read the book The Shack by William p> Young. It is of the theological fiction genre, so it is right up my alley. I got a copy of the book and placed it in my To Be Read stack. I picked it up last week and finished it in only a few days. It was a compelling read!

Sunday we went to eat at Esteban's after morning services, and I did not get home in time to see the hit on Matt Schaub's knee. But he was surely hobbling around as he tried to play through the pain. He was obviously not able to all his strength into his throws. read more »

This morning my wife called me to let me know she had just bought gasoline for $3.14. That is about fiftten cents less than we had seen it yesterday. But I just bought gas for $2.99. The only shame is that I am excited to pay that much! read more »

These days I am not much of a daydreamer, I think that it is because I almost always have something going to occupy my mind. When I was a little guy I used to daydream about playing baseball. I would see myself playing second base for the Brooklyn Dodgers the way Junior Gilliam did. I would home runs against Robin Roberts and steal bases like Maury Wills.
