We had a week of timeshare space banked and it was about to expire. Instead of losing the week, we decided to exchange it toward a cruise. We selected a seven day cruise of the Eastern Caribbean. We decided to take our two grandsons who live with us on the trip, so we booked a balcony suite that had beds for four.

We flew to Miami and boarded the Carnival Victory. Our first port of call was San Juan, Puerto Rico. While there we visited a castle/fort that overlooks the Caribbean, and took a horse drawn carriage ride through the city.

The next stop was St. Thomas, USVI. We have some old friends that live there. They met us at the dock and we spent the day with them, seeing their home and island. We climbed big rocks at Megan's Point, & threw a few little ones into the sea. We went to an aquarium to see the sharks and feed the sea lions. We rode the sky tram to the top of a mountain. It was a wonderful day.

The next day was spent in St. Maarten. We played at the beach almost all day. The boys thought it was heaven!

The other two cruises my wife and I had taken were relaxing, with no schedules and lots of pampering. The boys don't believe in those things, so even on our days at sea they wanted to explore and find adventures. We did a lot of water sliding, miniature golf, swimming, shuffleboard, hot tubbing and whatever else they could imagine. Our waiters really did a good job with the guys, every night teaching them some trick.

We had to pry the boys off the boat. My wife and I had to get home to get some rest.
