User levels are assigned manually so it may take 24-48 hours for admin to catch up. User lists are checked and updated periodically, so don't panic if features aren't available right away for newly achieved status. We'll take care of you!
Please check to make sure the post Status is set to "Publish." This is the most likely culprit. You can find it under EDIT.
When users add a blog entry, there is a menu item labeled Status. Click on this item if it isn't already open, and you will see the options to SAVE DRAFT or Publish.
SAVE DRAFT will allow the author to see the entry, but not anyone else. It is ALWAYS visible to the author. This is the default setting.
PUBLISH immediately publishes the entry.
If you need to edit while in SAVE DRAFT status, simple click on the entry title as usual and it will take you to the normal edit screen. However, there will be another tab labeled WORKFLOW. Click on this tab to change the STATUS of the entry.
There is also a SCHEDULE feature if you want to get ahead on things while the muse is working. That part is self-explanatory.
Tip #1: If you aren't getting as many views on your entry as you thought you should, check the STATUS to make sure "Publish" is selected.
Tip #2: See Tip #1.
Simply put, link farming is the practice of posting minimal relevant content for the sole purpose of adding numerous links to increase popularity. Communati.com considers link farming as a form of spam, and spamming accounts will be terminated. For more information visit: Webopedia, Wikipedia
(This section is slated for revision because the URL has changed. -Admin)
The format for blog URLS is:
http://www.communati.com/main/username
where username is the name assigned to your blog.
Revenue is generated by readers clicking on the Google advertising links as governed by the Google AdSense policy, and in turn, paid out by Google. Communati.com does not pay for content. Make sure you adhere to Google's policy by not clicking on the ads yourself. If you do, they may terminate your AdSense account.
If you check the page source (typically, VIEW SOURCE), somewhere on the page of your blog/story entry you should see the Google ad script with your Google ad ID. If not, you may have to refresh a couple of times before you see it. 70% of the views go to the author, and the remainder to Communati.com.
The author retains all copyright of their original material. See Terms of Use.
Here's an inline image example in a blog post. All users with BLOGGER status or above should be able to do this.
Method #1
Example: I've attached a file called "USA.gif," so I add it by replacing filename with "USA.gif" (no quotes) in the inline tag, and if done correctly, you should see a USA button below:
![]()
Method #2
You can use the image feature in the advanced WYSIWYG editor to add images. Method #1 is slated for the trashbin soon.
NOTE: Images will automatically get resized to 640x640, and maximum file size is 800kB for now.
First, you must have achieved "blogger" status on Communati.com. After that, you can include images by using the normal HTML tag <img>.
