Book Review
Thripz, Robert Farley
_____________________________
Robert Farley’s THRIPZ is set in the beautiful scenery of Hawaii in modern times. The islands lose some of their idyllic feel when an outbreak of insects becomes widespread. The main character, Nathan Brewster, a local reporter, takes on the news story from its beginning when Eglin Bays, a local farm worker, turns up missing after being attacked by the thrips. His fianceé, Lianne, is convinced he is dead, but has information that leads Brewster on a search that will take him head-to-head with the buggy outbreak and more danger than he bargained for.

Add to the already growing insect population a frothy tropical storm brewing in the ocean surrounding them, and you have a plot that twists and turns like a lava flow. This all out race against time keeps the pages turning and the reader wondering if the ever-quipping Brewster will be able to save his new homeland.
Farley’s writing sings with awesome visuals, dynamic plotting, and unforgettable characters.
Thripz buzzes its way onto the thriller scene with intent to mutate into one for your keeper shelf.
