The Chicago Rally

The Geminian Rants:

I turned on the news to see the streets of many major cities packed with demonstrators and rally members all waiving flags from here AND some other country, (in this context it does not matter what other country's flag, only that it is not ours.)

Now the scene looks much like the streets of Palestine or Baghdad, thousands and thousands of aliens all chanting broken English and acting as if since they got here, they have some right to something.

Who knew there were so many politically active illegal aliens in our country?

So it occurred to me that these illegal immigrants, who are being allowed to assemble in protest, were exercising a Right given and protected by The U. S. Constitution and its amendments, to legitimate Citizens of The United States of America.

They do not have the right to free speech, the right to assemble, the right to protest. These rights are ours and supposedly people died to ensure we had them. Did they die so that people would also have the right to illegally enter the country and demonstrate that their rights are violated?

If these immigrants can assemble and protest so efficiently as they have demonstrated and have the ambition to seek change in a country, then why not do it in their own country? Should not these people be the same patriots we once had, who fought and died to better their country? Should not this energy and protest be placed on the problem that originally made them become illegal immigrants, so as not to perpetuate the problem of illegal immigration in The U.S.?

I was born here, I have to obey every law, but they can break Federal Laws, (illegally entering the U. S.,) demonstrate publicly that they ARE those law breakers, then we allow them the rights that belong only to those who already are American Citizens?
People you will have to mow your own lawns, clean your own house, carry your own load.

The idea that we NEED these people has to do with money. Any empty jobs left behind will surely be equal or approximate to the unemployment rate in our country. I would much rather pay an American a decent wage in America, because I am an American. Saving a buck is poisoning our country.
