I may be last to the table again, but I thought I'd mention another freelance information source. For a few months I've been following Yuwanda Black's articles on Associated Content. Recently I've begun reading her blog as well, though much of the information is cross posted.
She has a strong leaning toward self promotion, much like our Sharon Hurley Hall, and also towards the technical side of writing, much like our GracePub. She runs Inkwell Editorial which I've heard about, possibly from people here, so this may not be new to you.
I nearly posted about several articles that she's written, but they all came out when I was rather busy and stressed and not much inclined to be posting. However, this recent article should be a worthwhile read for almost everyone here. Affiliate Marketing: Do You Know Your Cookie Time? explains a bit on how cookies benefit you as an affiliate marketer, and how you can use "cookie time" as a way to choose more beneficial affiliates.
It eased my mind a bit to know that a consumer doesn't necessarily have to purchase on the spot for you to get a cut of that sale. Cookies can seem evil from the consumer's viewpoint, but I'm starting to really appreciate them as someone looking to make money.

Thanks for the tip
I wasn't aware of Inkwell, but I am now. There's good stuff out there, one interesting idea being the concept of the minisite, the small, one-topic website that makes a few bucks a day from ads.

Hmmm, a minisite? I hadn't considered that; always things to think about.
