I am now Page Rank 0 - What the *&^%?

I've been working hard on my blog posting every day, monetizing it, etc. I was at a page rank 2 and working on making it increase. And then, I checked my page rank last night and I'm at ZERO. So, I decided to do some research. I came up with some possibilities.... These are things I've done differently.

  • My template was faulty - thanks to Word Vixen for noticing, a template I had uploaded from an outside source wouldn't load properly and it had been that way for a while. It loaded for me, but not for her.
  • I've been using paid posting sites like Smorty and Pay Per Post. I researched on the internet and noticed that other users of these sites were being slapped.
  • I had a blogrolling script on there

I took off the script and changed the template back to a regular blogger template. But I am not sure what to do about the paid blogging opps. I have another blog that has been at PR 3 for a while, and most of the things on it are paid blogging opportunities. These sites accepted me on the grounds that I have a PR 2 - now I probably won't even be eligible for some of the posting jobs.
Have any of you experienced this with your blogs or websites?

though I've still got one on blogspot at a 2 and one at blog is a 3. I've debated what to do, but I am going to continue to post these ad opps, that is why I created those blogs in the first place. I was thinking today of taking off some of the widget/buttons to see if that made any difference.....

Who controls it anyway? What good is it to have a judge of good or bad and who gets to say who has a good blog or a bad one?
 
I've thrown my hands up in the air and given in to do what ever I think feels right for me, and if I don't get a high Page Rank then so be it, I still have to live with myself and I can with a clear conscience, unlike some others that well, I'll bet you all could finish my thought for me... Smiling
 
The only difference between good and bad should be the quality of information, one should be = true as good and the rest are bad... LOL
 
Truth is nutritional... Smiling I'm ready for some fun... Smiling

Gary, I like your advice!
Silken, I really don't understand. I have a blog that is PR3 and the majority of posts are from those paid sites. Still trying to figure out what to do.
BTW - sorry about the double post. There were actually two more, which I deleted (system glitch) but I didn't realize I had missed one. Since there are comments on both I am going to leave them up.
