I am now Page Rank 0 - What the *&^%?
I've been working hard on my blog posting every day, monetizing it, etc. I was at a page rank 2 and working on making it increase. And then, I checked my page rank last night and I'm at ZERO. So, I decided to do some research. I came up with some possibilities.... These are things I've done differently.
- My template was faulty - thanks to Word Vixen for noticing, a template I had uploaded from an outside source wouldn't load properly and it had been that way for a while. It loaded for me, but not for her.
- I've been using paid posting sites like Smorty and Pay Per Post. I researched on the internet and noticed that other users of these sites were being slapped.
- I had a blogrolling script on there
I took off the script and changed the template back to a regular blogger template. But I am not sure what to do about the paid blogging opps. I have another blog that has been at PR 3 for a while, and most of the things on it are paid blogging opportunities. These sites accepted me on the grounds that I have a PR 2 - now I probably won't even be eligible for some of the posting jobs.
Have any of you experienced this with your blogs or websites?

You're welcome! Sorry about the page rank drop though. I haven't had any problems with my pagerank that I've noticed yet, but I've been working on my affiliate problems rather than focusing on my blogs.

Yeah I did, but I refuse to cave into Google and will continue to do paid post as these generate me far more income than adsense ever did. Having a reduced PR hasn't affected my hits either so I ain;t all that fussed.

Hey guys - thanks for the encouragement. Lol. I think it was the paid blogging sites. I completely stopped - but I am not making nearly as much money with Adsense as I was with those sites. I wonder if Adsense is a better long term solution, though. Blogsire, I know exactly what you mean! It seems that Google is only happy if you use their stuff.

I don't give a stuff about PR and am still taking paid tasks as that is what is bringing the money in. I hope that the money from Net Audio Ads turns out to be as good as it sounds.
