A Relaxing Cruise to the Caribbean?

We had a week of timeshare space banked and it was about to expire. Instead of losing the week, we decided to exchange it toward a cruise. We selected a seven day cruise of the Eastern Caribbean. We decided to take our two grandsons who live with us on the trip, so we booked a balcony suite that had beds for four.  read more »

When the room started spinning, my first thought was that I must be sicker than I thought. I'd been fighting a bug all day and had been having the odd dizzy spell. However, I had a deadline and was trying to meet it when things started moving. I sat very still in the hope that the dizzy spell would soon pass, but then I realised that I wasn't dizzy at all.  read more »

I am no Montucky when it comes to photography. In fact, I have been known to take a camera with me on a trip and never take a picture. But on my trip to Dominica in September, I saw some bougainvillea that I thought was as pretty as any I had seen. I had my camera with me and even remembered to get it out.  read more »

Have you ever heard of LIAT?

That stands for Leeward Islands Air Transport, an airline that has a relative monopoly to many of the smaller Caribbean islands. The locals have other ways to use the acronym. They call LIAT "Luggage In Another Town" or Leave Island Any Time".  read more »
